i was asking myself does my website even need a navbar?
all the navbar usually has is 'directory' and 'about' anyway.
then i remembered the only reason i have a navbar is because i want there to be a quick 'to homepage' button if somebody lands on another page.
now i'm wondering why not just do breadcrumb-style links?
to which i ask do i really want to go through every page and change what was set in stone for this 1 thing?
i don't know
alternatively, i could try breadcrumbs for new pages, but then there's an obvious disconnect between the new and old styles. but maybe i don't care about that
